Alex Goel

Alex Goel - Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Alex was inspired to start Topology after seeing the challenges of sharing important health information while working at Ontario Health. He got first-hand complaints of doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers who were overburdened with data entry. Alex holds a Masters from the University of Toronto and, has previously worked at the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services as part of the Ontario Internship Program, Ontario Health, and as an independent digital health consultant. During his career, Alex gained experience working with a variety of health data standards including FHIR, HL7 Version 2 and DICOM. His notable projects include: implementing highly structured radiology reporting to improve data collection, modernizing cancer registry reporting standards, and working with the Hamilton Health Sciences’ (HHS) CREATE team in delivering a SMART Immunization Guideline for the World Health Organization.

Josh Liben

Josh Liben - Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

Josh received a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Software Engineering from McGill University and a Master’s in Information Systems and Design from the University of Toronto. In his 8-year career, Josh has developed skills in Full Stack, Big Data, and Cloud development during his time at various software consulting firms, including Deloitte. Josh’s skills, expertise and communication ability, are an incredible asset to the team, and he’s a trusted decision maker.

Raghavan Chandrabalan

Raghavan Chandrabalan - Software Developer

Raghavan received a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 2020. Since then, he has been working with Typescript and React to develop web applications. He also handles day-to-day development needs for the company’s tools and projects. In his time at Topology Health, he has been a key team member in building the company’s no-code workflow editor engine, UIs, and integration engines into EMR/EHRs including Epic and Cerner. Raghavan recently led the development of a cancer registry reporting platform that was integrated into Epic and sent data to the CDC’s central cancer registry on behalf of the College of American Pathologists.

David is an international digital health leader working both as a radiology technology specialist and a consultant. With over 40 years of experience, David advises on the overall direction for Topology Health’s business and the product features needed to achieve its business goals. David has significant business and personal connections in the healthcare industry globally and these are being leveraged to help accelerate Topology Health’s growth.

Eric Meerkamper

Eric Meerkamper - Advisor

Eric is an industry veteran having worked for the past 25 years at the intersection of innovative technologies, data generation, and global impact. He has collaborated closely with leading organizations such as the World Bank, World Food Programme, UNDP, and Harvard University, among others, on applying new technologies towards addressing critical societal issues, including global public health. Eric is on the Advisory Board of the Cyberpeace Institute in Geneva, a Fellow at the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies, and Co-Founder of the Centre for Social Innovation in Toronto. He holds an MBA from the Ivey Business School.

Neil Naik

Neil Naik - Clinical Advisor

Dr. Neil Naik grew up in the GTA and studied medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He completed his residency in both urban Newfoundland and rural Nunavut, and further enhanced his education at OntarioMD with a rotation in Health Informatics and Leadership. He has embarked on his Executive MBA at the Ivey School of Business, where he is looking at how to make an innovative public healthcare system while continuing to build on our high quality of care. He practices family medicine in Waterloo, Ontario where he teaches family medicine and office management to medical students as an Assistant Clinical Professor at McMaster University and the University of Waterloo.

Dr. Naik is a Physician Advisor with the eHealth Centre for Excellence, medical advisor for multiple startup companies, Primary Care Lead for the KW4 Ontario Health Team, Regional Primary Care Lead for Prevention and Treatment of Cancer for the Waterloo Wellington Region, and is on the Board of Governors for the Grand River Hospital Foundation where he chairs the Jupiter Lab subcommittee, bringing innovation into hospital care through novel investment streams and opportunities. He sits on a series of advisory boards including the regional renal and endoscopy boards, the Ontario Medical Laboratories Network for Connect Care board, the Waterloo Medtech Innovation working group, and the Leadership Action Committee for the KW4 OHT. As an ambassador for the Canada-Africa Community Health Alliance, Dr. Naik is working on bringing innovative medical products to clinics in remote villages in Tanzania while providing medical care. As president of the Kitchener-Waterloo Academy of Medicine, Dr. Naik is working on enhancing communication between physicians, socially and professionally.

In his spare time, his true passion is in backcountry hiking and portaging. It has led him to attempt to build canoes in his spare time.

Niles Geminiuc - Business Development Advisor

Niles is a senior executive with over 20 years in the Healthcare IT and the Medical Imaging industry. Niles has held leadership roles at Siemens Healthineers, Forcare and Intelerad. Currently, Niles is Managing Director of Network Flow Consulting, a boutique consulting firm providing go-to-market, business development, and advisory services.
